Commissions

I have done many commissions, most of them  formal portraiture, pet portraits or house portraits.

I can turn a photograph into a piece of fine art provided it is of high quality and accompanied by close-up photographs that enable me to see the detail and colours. 

For portraits, I require several high quality photographs, usually 8 x 10s, that are taken with the client in the desired pose and lighting. 

The traditional medium for formal portraits is oil, which takes months to dry. Be aware of this fact if timing is an issue. I also enjoy using watercolour and soft pastel, which don't require any drying time.

 Framing is the responsibility of the client.

Prices vary according to size. I make no distinction between mediums.  Please email me if you are interested in having an heirloom painted for you.
